How does the Ab Circle equipment work?

The equipment aims to give an abdominal and cardiovascular workout simultaneously. You place your hands and knees on the equipment and move sideways, similar to a gliding motion. The ab pro equipment comes with a nutritional guide and DVD.

Having read all the information and tried the equipment myself, I can tell you, this product is more about defining your core ab muscles and not losing fat. It strengthens your abdominals and provides a light cardio workout.

You probably know stripping off fat from the stomach doesn’t require hundreds of sit ups. To burn belly fat requires you to do the following:

  • Fat burning cardio workouts with high intensity.
  • Resistance weight training workouts that involve heavy and light lifting
  • Eat right, eat clean!

If you are looking to really understand how to lose stomach fat fast, you need to have a look at this program. The Ab machine does provide some cardio exercise for the body. The one thing it doesn’t do is give a full body workout.

With this equipment you will only get a stomach, butt and thighs workout. But that’s what you want, a stomach workout, so it ticks the box there. The diet manual and DVD is useful on how the product works but it doesn’t really help you with how you should eat.

Ab Circle Pro Reviews – What do owners think?

From various feedback the ab circle pro reviews have been mixed. Some positive, some negative. The equipment is not perfect, far from it but it does deliver certain results. Having said that until you try it for yourself, you’ll never know whether it will work for you or not. Some of the negatives are as follows;

  • The original knee cushions are not too comfortable. You will most likely need to place extra padding on the equipment for your own comfort.
  • There is a weight limit on the machine, so if you are heavy this equipment is not for you.
  • There have been reports from users who’s equipment broke and had mechanical faults.
  • With this ab equipment doing intense workouts can prove difficult if you are not flexible and in shape already.

With all those negatives you are probably thinking the equipment is a total disappointment? Not at all, there are some people who really enjoy using the machine. The following is an in depth review of a customer who purchased the old ab circle pro and the newer version last year. Customer Review

I am one of those who purchased the machine having read various Ab Circle pro reviews about this time last year. At the time, I was working to slim down from a size 14 to a size 10 in order to fit my recently purchased wedding dress. Here are a few other things you should know before reading my full review:

* I work from home, so I have more free time for a longer workout than many individuals

* I worked on the machine for about 15 min. total per day (3 intervals of 5 straight min. each at a moderate pace)

* I combined my Ab Circle workout with Slim Fast & extra protein and plenty of water

* I weighed myself on the same day at the same time each week for 4 weeks

* I gave myself a bedtime curfew in order to get plenty of rest

* I didn’t skip breakfast

Now, my first experience with this machine was both good and bad. I noticed that when I paired my workout with 3 moderately paced songs that are about 5 min. each (Coldplay, for those who are wondering), practiced yoga breathing as I worked and relied on my core to move instead of my arms or knees, I got a good core workout. I sweated and really felt it in my abs and obliques.

I learned that rather than using my arms to pull me from side to side, I got a better workout in my core. I also learned that pacing myself instead of letting momentum take over gave better results. However, I did have the same issues with the knee pads as everyone else has posted. They weren’t made of the best material and cracked within a few weeks.

All in all, though, that was my biggest complaint. They were a little uncomfortable but that was it. We have since purchased another ab pro (about June of 2010), and I have nothing but high marks for the machine now. To start, we purchased from Bed, Bath & Beyond and used a 20% off coupon, so it was much cheaper than the $299 I paid last year.

Next, they have changed the knee cups. They are now made of a more solid plastic, but come with neoprene knee pads that are textured on the bottom (so they don’t slip around) and absorb sweat. They are much more comfortable than the older version.

I’ve been using the newer Pro machine for about a week now (combined with Wii Fit Yoga and aerobics and a very strict diet that includes between 80 and 90 oz. of water per day), and I work out every day. I couldn’t be happier with the results! I’m already losing according to my daily body tests on the Wii Fit, and I have lost a few inches from my waist.

I know others have had problems with this ab machine, but my feeling is that when you truly follow the directions, use it as it should be used, combine it with strength training and stretches and a low calorie diet (I eat about 1050 calories per day and burn between 110 and 120 per day), you get the results.

I don’t necessarily buy into only working out for 3 min. a day (it takes a min. of 18 min. to get into your target zone for cardio and then you have to work through that to really burn calories). But when you make the effort to work out between 30 min. and an hour total per day and eat right, you get results.

Is it the end-all machine for the perfect body? Not by itself, but when combined with strength training to build lean muscle, plenty of water and rest and a good diet, it works wonders!  (amazon customer review)

Contrary to what other sites say, this product is not a scam. If you decide to purchase it, you are looking at a cost of approximately $235. As mentioned previously you can opt for a trial offer for 30 days.

The machine is useful for toning the love handles, hips buns and thighs. By just tightening the muscles in those areas will not by itself show fat loss, far from it. You still need to put the work in, watch your diet and keep up with an exercise routine. You can purchase the machine or take it on a trial basis, the choice is yours.

Is the Ab circle pro a scam?

It’s not a scam, far from it. The fitness machine is piece of equipment that targets the upper, middle, and lower abs and obliques. It does provide a range of movements if used correctly. The trap most people fall into is thinking this machine solely will flatten the abs and show a six pack. It won’t!

As mentioned previously, the equipment will define your abs and work the abdominal muscles. The machine will only work if you watch your diet and carry out regular exercise. To strip off stomach fat you need to burn fat, to define the abdominals and get sexy ab muscles, you need to work the abs from resistance training. There are many weight loss products that are a scam, the ab circle pro is not one of them.

Main Benefits of purchasing the Ab circle pro

  • The equipment is designed in a way where you get a light cardio and resistance workout at the same time
  • The new ab circle pro has better knee padding, so it is more comfortable to workout
  • The exercise equipment works your abs, thighs and buns giving you a more flexible workout
  • When you do conventional sit ups you are on the floor. With the  machine you are not on the floor instead gliding and making it more fun to workout the abs.
  • You can order the ab pro equipment on a trial basis and use it for a month to see whether it is for you

And the negatives…..

  • If you plan to shift stomach fat, there is no substitute for a clean diet, exercise and regular resistance workouts directly targeting the stomach. This machine only provides resistance workouts for the abdominals, nothing else. To strip off fat you need to burn it from intense workouts and a concious diet.
  • People have complained about getting used to the movement and knee cushions not being comfortable
  • People who are heavy in weight will find it difficult to do workouts on the machine

Best Places To Purchase The Machine?

If you have decided to buy this fitness machine, our recommendation would be to first try it out. You may or may not be suited to the equipment, you might not like it etc. There is a 30 day trial offer available. It’s pretty simple to go for a trial for 30 days and see whether you start seeing results. If you unhappy with the ab machine, it’s simple to return.
